Kanav Kahol, PhD, and Marshall Smith, M.D., PhD, of the Banner Health Simulation Education and Training Center located at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, have found that surgical residents performed better during simulated surgery after playing on the Wii console.
Banner Health debuts computerized mannequins
PHOENIX (Jan.8, 2007) - Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center has a new program in which Phoenix firefighters and paramedics practice life-saving techniques. The hospital has provided a computerized obstetrics mannequin at the hospital's Simulation Education and Training Center that firefighters and paramedics will use for practice.
